SDS-Ugol relaunches Listvyazhnaya coal mine in Kemerovo Region

MOSCOW, Apr 5 (PRIME) -- The Listvyazhnaya mine in Russia’s Kemerovo Region has been relaunched after a disaster that took lives of 51 people in 2021, owner SDS-Ugol said in a statement on Wednesday.

"The Listvyazhnaya mine resumes mining activities. The workers of LLC Shakhta Listvyazhnaya have started preparation works, a drive through the belt entry 825. It is needed for the launch of a new face 824," the company said.

CEO of Listvyazhnaya Viktor Anufriyev said that the existent mine openings and evacuation infrastructure were restored.
